The oil suction and oil pressure of the fuel injection pump are completed by the reciprocating motion of the plunger in the plunger sleeve. When the plunger is in the lower position, the oil hole on the plunger sleeve opens and the fuel fills the oil chamber; the cam pushes up the plunger, and when the oil hole is blocked, the oil starts to be pressed. When the pressure exceeds the spring force of the oil outlet valve and the upper oil pressure, the oil outlet valve is pushed open, and the fuel is pressed into the oil pipe and sent to the injector.
It is the "heart" of the diesel engine, responsible for pumping fuel from the fuel tank and delivering it to the injector at a certain pressure and flow rate to provide power for fuel injection. The amount, pressure and time of the oil pumping must be very precise and can be automatically adjusted according to the load.
